Stylist Pansy Croft explains our celestial style shoot and why Tarrywile Mansion in Danbury made for an ideal setting:
“The grounds and house of Tarrywile Mansion immerse you in a natural celestial feeling inside and out. Eternal love is present in the conservatory with an intimate setting of stars, crystal globes, mirrors, wrought-iron candelabras, quartz and glitter, projecting positivity, light and magic — the pure attraction of love and harmony.
Inspired by astronomy, the formal drawing room offers zodiac cocktail drinks, Moon Rocks coffee truffles, a star cake and an explosion of finger foods.
The wedding party gathered in the library, showcasing stunning headpieces of Swarovski crystals, yards of white chiffon, star-studded fabric and a dancing paisleyvested tuxedo (all accented with hues of purple, blues and dusty rose), creating a mood for yearning and hope for ethereal love, romance and happily-ever-afters.”

“Naturally sculpted beard lines, and a taper fade on the sides with a coiffed pompadour,” says Christian Patrick, founder of Doorbell Barbers. It’s all about getting a “fresh and modern look.”
Moons Over Martini
LEO: Inspired by the original Old Fashioned with an added flavor profile of cinnamon. Extremely drinkable for bourbon lovers or those simply looking to test the waters of drinking old-school cocktails.
2 ounces Litchfield Distillery Double-Barreled bourbon
2 dashes Angostura bitters
½ ounce cinnamon syrup
¼ ounce lime juice
Add all liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish by adding a cinnamon stick or dehydrated orange wheel for added flair.
Cosmic Craze
SAGITTARIUS: Inspired by simply combining some favorite ingredients in the right measurements for something both fun to make and delicious to drink.
2 ounces Litchfield Distillery Agave Spirits
½ ounce RHUM Clément Créole Shrubb
½ ounce cranberry syrup
3 ounces rosemary tonic
Add all liquid ingredients except tonic into a cocktail shaker, add ice. Shake vigorously. Pour entire contents of shaker including ice into a Collins glass. Top with rosemary tonic and garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel and a pineapple leaf.
Lunar Love Potion
GEMINI: Inspired by common vacation cocktails with some added sophistication and color.
2 ounces Fourth & Pride vodka
1½ ounces pineapple juice
¾ ounce Butterfly Blue Pea Tincture
½ ounce RHUM Clément Mahina Coco
Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel.
