Do you need woven wire mesh machine, China Wire Mesh Manufacturer solution? Choose us as your partner and we will provide you with a solution that will satisfy you.

Oil & gas shaker screen and sand control screen, plastic & polymer extrusionpharmaceutical drugs sieving, automobile & hydraulic filtration, HVAC and high-rise buildings in construction industries are the top most industries who are consuming wide quantity of wire mesh.

There are lots of wire mesh type solutions available, like woven wire mesh, welded wire mesh, expended wire mesh, perforated wire mesh with different materials such as metal (stainless steel mesh, galvanized, hot-dipped, mild steel, copper wire mesh, bronze mesh, etc.), PVC etc. The selection of solution as wire mesh and the materials used depends on consultant, engineers, project managers and researcher’s choice that which specification will be the ideal selection for their use.

Which material will perform most excellent: welded or woven wire mesh?

“What is the application or use of wire mesh? What material will be suitable for my application? When do we require wire mesh? Does this solve our problem? Is this the best solution?” are all the questions that must be considered while deciding whether to use welded mesh or woven wire mesh.

YKM has been a leading wire mesh manufacturer for over 40 years and are here to ensure you integrate the
right mesh solution.

Here we will identify what is welded & woven mesh? How are these materials produced? For what purpose are they used? And what is the cost difference between them? You will have better understanding that which wire mesh will be suitable for your application or
your project…

What is Woven Wire Mesh?

Woven wire mesh is a collection of preprogrammed metal wires that is interlaced together in form of a roll or
sheet with certain pattern.
 At the time of weaving
mesh, the component factors such as wire thickness, opening (aperture) size,
micron rating, weave pattern, width, and length can be tailored to client’s individual requirement.

To produce woven wire mesh, a certain number of wires fed via spool.  There are two wires wrap and weft. The wrap spools selected according to weave pattern design of mesh. The heddle frame pushed wrap wire ups and down and weft wire which is known as shute wire, is driven between the wrap wires. The heddle frame locks the weft and wrap wire for next pattern.

Applications

The biggest factor that distinguishes woven wire mesh from welded mesh is the mesh opening because woven mesh is finer than welded mesh. We can achieve up to 2 microns opening in woven wire mesh as per our experience. To get small opening, we need
to use fine wire. In woven mesh weaving process, the fine wire can be used easily without concede opening of the mesh, but it will get damaged in the welded mesh procedure.

We can say that due to the stability of opening for finer mesh, its ideal selection for all kind of filtration, size segregation, screen printing, melt filtration, solid control, mud screening or sand control screen applications.

What Is
Welded Wire Mesh?

Welded wire mesh is collection of metal wires that have welded each other at the point
of each wire cross-sections with different welding technologies like TIG or
spot welding.
As the wires attached via welding process, the opening size of the mesh is fixed or permanent. After receiving and testing the wires moved in ready to use area in store portion. This wire comes in spool form and fed directly to weld machine at the time of preparation to produce welded mesh.

These spool wires used for horizontal structure. The spools are different from woven wire mesh. After passing from straightener, the wire reached to weld point where precut straight wire loaded in vertical form (laid) to give the width size.

After being laid in place, the machine applies a uniform weld at each cross-section simultaneously. These is option to give the length to welded mesh fabric automatically or after producing can cut manually as per panel demand. To produce roll, it requires an roller to give the roll form.

What technology used to produce welded wire mesh?

There are two main technologies are using to produce weld mesh:

Electric Fusion Welding (EFW) is a precise & semi-automatic welding technique that is widely used to manufacture welded steel wire mesh. This type of machine is calculating the weld points for boxes. The welded junction is the intersection point for horizontal and vertical wires. With this technology, there is less chances for any distortion even the joint is so small.

Another technic is Electrical Resistance Welding (ERW): In this process the wires are joint with the help of heat through passing the current. We can say that this is the melting point to joint wires together on high temperature.
