Does Temco use official Staubli connectors? Need to know that to match for safety, if connecting to the ones on the panel. In the U.S. It is required to match (or use a connector with a listing that says matching is OK).

PV is also required to properly crimp into MC4 connectors (or other PV disconnects)

You are of course correct - they use Temco branded connectors on their gear - high quality and they mate with the Stabuli connectors well - I have both - they have similar contact resistance when mated - but to be certain of compatibility you would have to identify the connector brand on the back of the panels and decide if you wanted to cut them off and replace them with Temco or cut the Temco ones off and replace with the correct brand.

I have connectors from 5 different brands - One of these days when I have the time I will test interoperability and connection resistance and heating when under current to see how they do... I might even try immersion in water to see if they leak... If I want to have a sparky test I can test insulation resistance in and out of the water - i.e. does the current leak out when in water... maybe salt water just to add to the fun.

Had to prove to a roommate once that water itself doesn't conduct electricity .... filled a glass with distilled water ... clipped the leads from a battery charger on both sides... no current - added table salt and watched the current climb as it disolved.
I learned a new thing today - welding wire is not ul listed - so for an inspected install the battery cables need to be UL listed wire similar.
And this is one of those times I question the wisdom of code and/or inspectors requiring UL-listed items for everything.
You are correct, Class K welding cable is not UL listed. However, Class M welding cable is usually UL listed.

What's the difference? About $3/ft for AWG 4/0.
Class M passes the UL vertical flame test, which is good.
Both jackets are EPDM good to 90 degC.
What is the safety difference? Practically nothing of significance, though Class M has higher ampacity.
But it only comes in Orange. I like my red for + and black for -, thank you.

But even if you buy the UL-listed cable, having them free in space is frowned on by some inspectors, so you have to put it in conduit anyway.
What's the point of that?

When I do the house install I intend to put the battery wires in a raceway - not sure if it is better/cheaper to do a single raceway with a divider for AC and DC or separate raceways for the two.

I am not sure what the inspectors here will be like since my county farms out inspections to the next county over and pays the inspectors to drive up. So I intend to error on the side of caution and do everything UL listed, neat and tidy, and safe as I can. So when the inspector sees it they just nod and sign off after they find their one little pet peeve to ding me on.
