Which Category is correct for pipe support like channel or hanger??
Goto Zhiang to know more.
even if it's not pipe support but duct sup't etc...
which category do you use on your project?
and tell me why.. I use both generic model and pipe accesories but I think it's not good thing
For some families there is a "correct" category because it affects their behaviour in connected systems (Mechanical Equipment, Air Terminal etc).
For other families, such as supports/hangers, behaviour isn't really an issue but the categories also affect visibility behaviour in MEP views - halftone settings, visibility above the cut plane etc.
Lastly I would think about scheduling and how you would classify them in project documentation such as bills of materials or bills of quantities.

Personally I would use Pipe Accessory and Duct Accessory but that's just personal preference.

I chose Structural Connections for pipe clips etc 10 years ago and Structural Framing for Unistrut etc.
I remember these seemed most appropriate over all for Families working with Fab Parts.
You have to use overlay to see them above VR.
